Knight Camp
No previous classes or training is necessary. Students need only register for the week in which they want to participate.
Safety and Control
We place a firm emphasis on safety and learning while keeping students excited and engaged. Your child will first develop control and awareness of their body and then with weapons on their own. They will engage in drilling and sparring with their peers when they are safe to do so.
Equipment Requirements
Swords and basic protective equipment are provided at the camp. Attendees are required to wear comfortable workout clothing, footwear, and snug-fitting leather or cotton gloves. Rigid elbow and knee pads, such as those used for rollerblading, and an athletic cup (jock or jill strap) are also required for both boys and girls. Your child will not be able to participate in the full range of activities without them. The students are welcome to wear as much protective equipment as they feel comfortable in beyond the basic requirements. Some might prefer the type of additional torso protection offered by hockey or lacrosse gear. As students progress in Knight Camp they will be creating their own leather-armour pieces.
Each child will also be required to bring their own lunch and snacks. It is also important that each child has a waterbottle to stay hydrated.
Before and After Care
To make things easier for parents with work and life schedules to contend with, we offer before and after care services starting at 8:30am each morning and from 3:30 to 5:00pm each day.
Kids in before and after care are welcome to work on activities provided during the camp, play games, or bring their own activities from home. This will be largely self-directed time with adult supervision but don’t worry: they’ll have plenty to keep them occupied after each day of camp!
Special Needs
If your child has any allergies please tell us in advance of the start of camp.
