Another Black Mare at Red Colt

Introducing Calo Heros Jolie:

Jolie is a 12 year old registered Canadian Horse.  She has a sweet temperament, excellent manners and she loves to go.  Her job will be mainly eventing and Pony Club testing, but you can expect her to put in a few hours of Mounted Combat here and there once she becomes accustomed to swords.

Quick Canadian breed trivia question:  you can tell Jolie and Jack are the same age by their names.  Therefore, how old is Flavie?

Cavaliere this week

The Mounted Combat workshop will take place at the barn this Sunday where we will work from the ground, the falsemount, and for those with their green spurs or equivalent, from horseback.  To accomodate the workshop Riding and Horsemanship will start at 10am.  We have a couple of extra spaces for riders this week, thanks to a couple of extra horses available, so if you've been wanting to get into the saddle again here's your chance.

Riding & Horsemanship
Sunday 13 Nov, 10am - 1:30pm
Cost: $50; $180 for 4 classes

Horsemanship Only
10am - 11:30pm
Cost: $25; $90 for 4 classes

Mounted Combat Workshop
Sunday 13 Nov, 1 - 4pm
Cost: $60; $150 for 3 workshops

Location:  Red Colt Equestrian Farm Coop, 12320 No 2 Road, Richmond

Note:  if the weather looks like it will be horrendous (ie, torrential rain or driving sleet) participants will be notified and Riding and Horsemanship will be moved to the following week, and Mounted Combat will be moved to Academie Duello's downtown location.  (This is why it's vital you sign up ahead of time – if we don't know you're coming we can't notify you!).  Light rain doesn't count as horrendous, though, so dress for the west coast, and take courage from the fact it's almost always nicer in Richmond than it is in Vancouver.
