Changes to Mounted Games Practice Nights

As predicted this summer’s schedule in the Cavaliere program is a little wibbly-wobbly, but I will do my best to keep this blog up to date with the most recent information.

Instead of weekly Mounted Games Practices on Fridays at 5-7pm, we will use this time slot for varied activites (including games practices).  Here is the schedule for June:

Friday 6 June: Cross-country schooling

new jumptime: 6-8pm
cost: $60 or 1 flex-pack credit
pre-requisite: Riding Level 2

Starting at 6pm I will take two groups of up to 4 riders cross country schooling in the back fields.  Riders must have a minimum of riding level 2.

Friday 13 June: Mounted Games Practice

time 5-7pm
cost: $5; $15 with use of school horse
pre-requisite: Riding Level 1

Practice your hand-offs, pick-ups, put-downs and flying changes to improve your chances at Carosella this September.

Friday 20 June: Prix Fiore DrillsPrix Fiore 1

time: 6-8pm
cost: $60 or 1 flex-pack credit
pre-requisite: Riding Level 2

Prix Fiore (our own term) is a Prix Caprilli dressage test with swords as well as jumps.  In this lesson groups of up to four riders will practise drill team manouvres, tandem jumping, moving from guard to guard, and exchanging choreographed blows from horseback.  Performing a Prix Fiore test is one of the pre-requisites for the Red Spur.

Friday 27 June: Mounted Games Practice

time 5-7pmstick pegging 4
cost: $5; $15 with use of school horse
pre-requisite: Riding Level 1

Practice your hand-offs, pick-ups, put-downs and flying changes to improve your chances at Carosella this September.

For the Cross-Country Schooling and Prix Fiore sessions you must pre-register.  Drop-ins are allowed for Games Practices, and cash is taken on site. However, signing up in advance is recommended to avoid sessions being cancelled.

If there is sufficient interest I will also be adding some group riding lessons on other evenings in late June and early July to make up for the lack of Cavaliere classes in July.  Contact me directly at jennifer (at) academieduello.com if your are interested in these.
