It's Raining, It's Pouring...

...and you can bet we're in for more rain before Summer hits! This time of year, it is wise to always carry an umbrella with you. We all know that umbrellas are invaluable for keeping dry and for impromptu Gene Kelly impersonations, but did you know your umbrella could also be used as a self-defense tool?

David McCormick, our Victorian Self-Defence instructor, has ingeniously adapted turn of the century Bartitsu techniques (think Sherlock Holmes) to our modern Vancouverite lifestyle, using our unfair-weather friend, the umbrella!

Sign up for our Umbrella Self-Defense Workshop, happening this Sunday, March 17th from  2:00pm to 6:00pm. Drop by the school or call us at 604-568-9907 anytime during business hours for more information and to register.

Learn more about the workshop here and check out David's post about the workshop.
