[Photo Gallery] Handmade bows from Academie Duello's bowmaking workshop

Today marked the last day of our bowmaking workshop taught by Jamie MacDonald of Ravenbeak Natureworks. The workshop was a tremendous success and I had the opportunity to handle eight beautiful and effective pieces of art. The final day of the workshop focused on final sanding, oiling, affixing arrow rests, striking plates, and wrapping the handles in leather. I've included a flickr gallery of photos from all three days as well as some great poses of our 8 bow makers. I've also included a video of Jamie, with Erik, adding the recurve to one of the limbs of the bow – a very interesting process to see in action.

We're already working on setting a date for the next workshop, most likely in September. Don't miss out!
