Special One-Day Workshop with Luis Preto!


This week, we are thrilled to have Academie Duello play host to internationally acclaimed, award-winning martial artist and author Luis Preto.  Luis will be teaching a 25-hour, week-long intensive on the Portuguese stick fighting martial art Jogo do Pau.

Many people were unable to find the time to convince their employers to give them a week off work, whereas others just didn't have the funds for the five day workshop.  To those of you who were hoping to get some time in with Luis, we have avery special announcement for you! Luis will be doing a 4-hour seminar on Saturday, November 15th at Academie Duello.

The seminar will be focused on the art of distance management and cover as it appears in a variety of European martial arts with the focus on the longsword. Preto's system is remarkably efficient and well-developed and is certain to benefit combatants of any background. The seminar will feature strategies for facing multiple opponents as well as single combat.

Participants must have basic longsword fundamentals (such as completion of Warrior Fundamentals, or a Red Cord).
