Spend Spring Break in the Saddle

We're excited to launch two new camps for the young horse and pony enthusiasts in your life, Pony Camp for kids 6 to 12 years old, and Cavalier Camp for youth 8 to 14.

Pony Camp

In this fun-filled five day camp your child will learn how to lead, groom, feed, and care for 'their' ponies over the course of the week. With a riding lesson each day they will also learn basic English riding on our friendly school horses. As well they will learn barn safety, points and colours of the horse, the quick-release knot, and parts of the saddle and bridle with interactive games and activities. The camp is divided into three groups of four, based on age and prior riding experience (if any), and held in the beautiful indoor facilities at Cornwall Ridge Farm in Langley.

Cavalier Camp

Looking for more than just a riding camp? In addition to five days of riding and horsemanship, participants will learn about the weapons and history of the mounted warrior, including the longsword, side sword, spear and bow. Mornings will be spent learning horse care and riding, followed by a lesson in a different historical martial tradition each afternoon. The final day of camp will be a playday with exciting games of skill both on and off the horse.

Jennifer Landels heads up Academie Duello's Cavaliere Program. She has been swordfighting since 2008, and riding since before she could walk. She started the program as an excuse to combine those passions.
