Who's gotta practice?

We had rank examinations in the Mastery program just this past Friday. Congratulations to all who tested, whether you succeeded or not.

Congratulations to you because you have each put in a lot of effort to achieve level that you're at. For those readers not aware of how the Mastery program works: students must meet a certain degree of proficiency in several areas before they are permitted to test for the next rank.

All the students that tested this week took charge of their own practice. They asked questions after class and asked to have their skills assessed to ensure they were at the level that they needed to be at.

And that's ultimately my point. The instructors at the Academie try to make opportunities for students to gain feedback and refine skills that may otherwise languish but is ultimately up to the individual to ensure that they're achieving their goals.

So: go lunge!
