Hello everyone, I have some exciting news.
On October 26th we are launching our first Instructor Training and Study Group Program! This program will give you the basis to start an official Academie Duello study group in your area or take the first step toward being an Academie Duello instructor.
By joining the program you will become part of an exclusive group of satellite practitioners that will receive personal attention from both me and my senior instructors over the course of eight months.
The program combines:
- Intensive in-person instruction. We want you to be guided in all of our material for the next level in your training.
- Teacher training. To help you guide others in your study group in learning from our foundational courses.
- Regular support from peers and from the Academie Duello instruction team. We will be actively communicating with you throughout your program through online forums and regular video conference sessions.
- Remote technical review, advice, and testing delivered through video review plus written quizzes and resources.
- A structured study program. We will be providing you and your study group with weekly training plans and class outlines linked to the matching video content on Duello.TV (where we have over 400 unique lessons). This will help you learn in an effective way and stay on track.
- Opportunities for satellite practitioners to certify in both our martial and instructional programs.
On October 26th, this is all going to kick-off with an exclusive week-long intensive held at our beautiful centre in Vancouver BC. Members of this inaugural group will receive a week of training with me and senior members of our instruction team. Training will include a rapier and longsword option as well as a teaching skills track.
The intensive is only the start. Afterwards we will work with you to develop your study group and your own skills from abroad using the tools outlined above. I believe that through this combination of in-person instruction and well-applied technology we can finally deliver a truly effective distance learning program.
On July 12th we’ll be making 12 spots available for a limited time. I am looking for people who are truly dedicated to learning and spreading Western Martial Arts and believe in the way we teach them at Academie Duello. The course will be tailored to the knowledge level of those enrolled. We need to fill the spots early so we can customize development.
