Well, sort of new. The name of the Riding & Horsemanship classes has changed to the Cavaliere Class. Why? Because we’ve added 45 minutes of sword drills and practice time to the end of class. You’ll still get your all your horsemanship instruction — feeding, grooming, vet & first aid, conditioning etc — as well as your group riding lesson, followed by targetted drills that build on the content of the month’s Mounted Combat class.
Best of all, for the months of October and November we are adding this content without increasing the price. Classes are still $60 each, or $200 for four classes. The Integrated Package price of $120 for the entire month’s worth of classes (Mounted Combat Workshop plus 2 Cavaliere Classes) still applies as well.
Sundays 1 – 4:30pm
October 14th & 28th, November 10th & 24th
October and November will be the last two months the Cavaliere program will be running in 2012. We’ll take a break in December and January, and have things up and running again in February.
We had a fabulous day for Mounted Combat on Sunday, and a great group of beginning riders and swordfighters for the Intro to Mounted Combatworkshop. Here’s the obligatory photo of us threatening to kill each other. Last chance to take this course for 2012 will be November 4th!
Raise the Roof progress
A small but dedicated crew were out yesterday to work off their thanksgiving dinners. We got about 1/3 of the shedrow fully roofed (Winston and Taz are now smug in their shelters) and covered the tack room / hay barn with a new tarp to replace the one torn off in last week’s windstorm. Thanks to Kirsten, Blake, Roland, Brittany, Devon, Kristen, Chris, Isabel, Eleanor & Kate!
